Setting up your ChatGPT Ads account

The ads account is yours and your card stays yours: you pay OpenAI directly and can see every dollar. There are five things to get right when you create it, and the first one is the one that trips people up.

1. Enter your website without the "www."

   Why: the address you type there becomes the only address your ads are allowed to point at, and "www." counts as a separate part of your website. Put it in and the campaign page we build for you looks like a different website, so your ads get blocked until a manual review clears, which can take days.

   Type this exactly:

   https://yourbusiness.com.au/

   We will show your own address here once you have told us your website on the previous screen.

2. Verify your business

   Why: an unverified account runs with tighter limits and its ads can sit waiting on a manual review instead of going live. It is usually just your business name, address and ABN, and it takes about ten minutes.

3. Add us to the account as an Admin

   Why: the account and the card stay yours. Admin access is what lets us build the campaign, upload the ads, wire up the tracking and read the results for you. Without it every single change has to go through you.

   We will give you the exact address to invite on your dashboard when your build starts.

4. Add your payment method

   Why: your ad spend goes straight to OpenAI, never through us, so you keep full sight and full control of what you are spending.

5. Tell us when it is done

   Message us on your dashboard and we will take it from there.

Already created the account with the "www." in it? Tell us on your dashboard. It is fixable, and it is much easier to sort out now than after the ads are built.
