Can I Move My Nitro Sites Website to Another Host?

Yes. Your website is yours, and you can move it to another host whenever you like.

You own your domain name, everything written and created for your business, the data your site collects, and your Google and advertising accounts. When you leave, we hand you a complete static export of your public website, free of charge, and any web host can serve it. The full ownership summary is on our What you own page. What you receive

A static export of the site as it stands on the handover date:

• the rendered HTML for every public page;
• the CSS and browser-side JavaScript those pages use;
• your images, fonts and other media;
• the current URL structure and a redirect list where one is relevant; and
• an export of your content (articles, products, listings) in a portable format.

Your new provider uploads the files to any ordinary web host, points your domain at it, and the site displays as it did with us.

What your new host connects

Some features run on our platform rather than inside the site files, so the receiving provider connects their own versions:

• contact, quote and enquiry forms, and their spam filtering;
• site search;
• the blog editor, content admin and client portal;
• lead attribution and tracking; and
• hosting, CDN, monitoring and backups.

All of these have standard replacements. Content that came from our platform, such as a product catalogue or blog, is frozen into the export exactly as it appeared, so nothing is lost; it is simply edited elsewhere from then on.

We do not transfer NitroCore itself. It is the in-house platform we use to build and run every client site, in the same way a hosted website builder keeps its own software. Your site, its content and its design are yours. The tooling that produced them is the one thing that stays with us.

Minimum terms and costs

• Paid website build: no minimum term, no exit fee.
• Nitro Care plan: month to month, cancel from your client area.
• Free website build offer: a 12-month minimum on Nitro Care, because the plan funds the build. Leaving early means the remaining months are payable.
• Nitro Ads free setup: a 3-month minimum. Cancel earlier and only the setup fee is billed.

Nothing else carries a minimum. The export itself is free. If you would like us to do more than hand over the files, for example configure the new host, rebuild forms on their platform or manage the DNS change, we quote that work separately and you are free to have anyone else do it instead.

How a move works

1. Raise a ticket from your client area, or email support, saying where the site is going and who the technical contact is.
2. We confirm the account has no unpaid invoices and agree the handover date.
3. Within 10 business days we deliver the export and a short note listing which features the new provider needs to connect.
4. Your new provider tests the site on their hosting before changing DNS.
5. DNS moves, we stop hosting and support on the agreed date, and you keep everything.

If you are unhappy rather than simply moving, tell us first. We would rather fix the problem than watch you go, and there is nothing in the way of leaving if we cannot.
